Feeling super super nostalgic now. Been looking at this website on wedding videos and this people are making me wish that I can do everything all over again! Almost...want to do it all over again. Now I can't wait to see my own videos that my bro's friend help us to take on the day. Yah, I have not seen the video. No time bah after the wedding while we were in Kuching till the time we come back to KL. And also forgotten to ask my bro to burn us a copy. So, will have to wait till my parents and sis come next month to stay with us for about 2weeks.
I heard my mom said that they had a good laugh when they view through the video. K called it romantic comedy! LOL! I am just anxious to see what happened during the dinner. I understand that I missed pretty alot of the happenings on the stage. Our friends and cousins were singing for us and calling us from stage but we unintentionally ignored them. Of course, there was me tipsy (err..drunk but conscious and able to comprehend what is going on but only one thing at a time). I remember the dancing with babe though.
Hhmm, never ceased to amaze me how much I can love a person and still am so much in love with him eventhough after more than 8 years together. Of course, only been his wife for less than a month (although it felt as if we been married for ages because we understand each other so well but having said that, we never stop to surprise each other somehow with our quirkiness and own ways)! I realised after watching all those videos that the key essential that leads to a marriage is not just as a partner or lover in life but the most important aspect, best friend, i.e. someone that you can share laughter, sorrow, success and jokes (yup, jokes!) with. Someone that you know you can just call up anytime of the day for 'rescue' and he/she will be there for you no matter what.
EIKS! Sorry!!! I better stop this mushy stuff or else you will start to vomit all over your monitor and keyboard! HAHAHA!
Anyway, some of the videos makes me wanted to tell babe that do and feature it as part of our romantic story for our kids. One that I particularly like is the Answers to Love Questions (Jeff & Ann) where the couple writes out a list of questions they have for each other and each answer them separately. They do not know the answer until the wedding dinner! I wonder how must that feel. As I remember it (or not remember :P), most of the time throughout that day went by in a haze. Only remember bits and pieces of it and even then, I think it was through rose tinted glass.
What I am trying to say is, if anyone of you are getting married soon, dont forget to get someone to record the whole day event on video. It does not have to be a professional such as those from Wedding Story (although it would be great if you can afford to hire the professionals) but most important is to have something to look back. Trust me, you will not remember much of the day no matter how careful it is planned. You also do not have eyes everywhere. So, definitely a good idea to have videos taken. If possible, get 2-3 videos with 2-3 friends (or 10 videos and friends if you have) to help records different parts of the wedding. 1 person just cant cover everything.
p/s: This is not a paid advertisement for Wedding Story lar. I am just feeling stupidly nostalgic and wants to share what I thoughts derived from my experience ^_^

Nonsense Mini Rambling
Doing a little random rambling here since I am waiting for the time to go home. Took this picture at the 1 Utama new wing. They have very nice big decoration during Xmas, about 2 storey high I think. And then took everything down and make this for Chinese New Year. It was really nice and very creative. Something different than the usual stuff. I think they were trying to re-create the view from a palace looking out into the mountains?

Anyway, recently, babe and I keep forgetting to wear our wedding ring. The ring was actually abit too loose for the both of us. So, when we want to shower, we will usually remove the ring and leave it on the table. We dont want it ti slip from our soapy finger and then have to waste time to hunt for it all over the place bah. I think alot of our colleagues also not aware of the change of our marital status. Only those that we are close with knew. I wonder if I will shock people if they suddenly see I am pregnant next year! hahaha!!
I just can't resist taking picture of my 'occupied' finger just to remind myself that I am married. Seriously, I sometimes forget that I am actually someone's wife now. It seems that the first questions that most of my single friends ask me is, So? How is married life? To which I responsed, Same as before! I actually teased babe and say what is the point of getting married ah? No difference ler.... HAHAHA! But babe super naughty lar..He agrees and say dont know why this crazy woman follow him all the way to KL! HHMPF!!
OK! Sooooo here is the proof that I did actually get married when I go back to Kuching. Although I shouldnt need this as proof since I will 'feel' it the moment I check my bank account balance. I see the money grow wings and flying off into the sky!~

P/s: I TOLD you that it is nonsense mini rambling: :P

Before THE DAY
Woke up at 6am on 29 Dec 08. Dad actually reminded me the night before to come back earlier as the makeup artist will be coming at 7am and we will have a long full day ahead of us tomorrow, church in the morning, tea ceremony in the afternoon and then wedding dinner. I think from the day I set foot in Kuching, babe and I have been busy with the last minute preparation till the night before the actual day itself.
Initially I thought since most things were already taken cared of by our parents in Kuching, there should be very little things to do when we go back. Little did I know, most days, our days start at 7am (mine anyways, babe wakes up at 10am! hhmpf) and usually don't end till about 1am. In fact, we were so busy that we actually eat less food than when we were in KL! A typical day back in Kuching before THE DAY would be have our brunch at one of the coffeeshop, then rush to wherever we need to go.
Turn out, we made a few trips to the restaurant that we were having our wedding dinner. The lady there really lar, take advantage of old people. Just because his mom didnt request does not mean that it is not required ok! At least should ask if we need it or not since it is the standard package and they have a standard form to fill out! Wasted a few trips there. And also, his mom added a few more tables to the already growing list!
Then we also need to find florist to get my bouquet, the corsage and car deco. I bought some ribbons back from KL but turn out it is not enough and requested one of babe's friend to help purchase but he bought the wrong thing. So, had to buy it in Kch which cost a bomb! Imagine paying almost RM50 for 19meters of ribbons!! GAWD! Really taking advantage lar this people. The ribbons was to decorate the church. Thank god his sister was able to help with that or else I will definitely say forget about it.
Also, we need to find beer and liquor. Dont even want to talk about it. His dad sponsored 10crates but babe decided that it is not going to be enough for 34tables. We search low and high for the brand of beer we want to get but somehow, it is out of stock! Luckily babe's bro-in-law volunteered to help us get additional beer. But to make matter worse, the Black Label babe thought of getting is out of stock all over Kuching! Something about so near to Christmas and the custom onhold a big shipment somewhere. So, we end up paying premium price for 4 bottles of black label and 4 bottles of absolut vodka.
We also need to scour the goldsmith to find our wedding rings. We have not decided on what pattern to get, only that we want to get gold wedding band. That alone took us more than two trips before our rings are found. I actually went to the same goldsmith 5 times in one week! By the 3rd time, the owner and employees of the shop actually know me by sight! Of course, there are advantage to that. Mom managed to get pretty good deal when she got some gold chains for me:)
There are other things and I actually cannot really recall much what. I only remember that everywhere we go, there is lots and lots of car. It is as if everyone is back in Kuching at the same time and all rushing around to do last minute shopping. Going to see this person, meet his dad, see his uncle/ cousins to be our storyteller/MC during the dinner, spending time with my parents, sis and bro, go dinner, buy stuff for the wedding and tea ceremony, church rehearsal (which only happens on Sunday afternoon!! Wedding was on Monday morning! They actually had one rehearsal on Friday for three other couples having wedding on Saturday but they forgot to call us!hmpf).
There are just too many things that happened between 19 Dec to 29 Dec that everyday when by like a breeze. I can hardly feel day turn to night and night to day except when my aching tired body tells me to slow down. But even then, my brain refused to slow down and stop the adreneline high that it is on! In fact, on 28 Dec, when babe was sending me back home to my parents place, it suddenly hit me: I AM GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW! wahahaha! Crazy gal or not?
But it is all done and over with. There are alot of people I need to say thank you but not able to until I am back in KL. There are alot of things that if I can go back in time (not do over again mind you!), I would like to change to make it less hectic and much more relaxing but then, I am glad it is over and done with. I am now officially MARRIED! :)

My new project
Yap, another one. I just installed photoshop in my pc and thought I play around with it for awhile and do something simple like an invitation card. Babe was suppose to help me make an e-invitation so that I can send them to my friends and colleagues. But since I am not sure my colleagues will welcome the e-invitation, I decided not to send to them lor. Those that matters to me has already RSVP and confirmed they wont be able to make it. Wish they can come though. Would be great to have them there.... (Is it too late to hint?)
Ok, let me get to the point... tried doing some e-invitation on photoshop and this is the result:
I think it is too simple and plain but my friends said it look ok. Most of them said the bride and groom looks cute! I agree. That is why I included them! HAHAHA! I guess I need to practise more and try out other things that photoshop can do. Would love to design more stuff with the photoshop ^_^. Good way to be artistic without knowing how to draw! BLUEK!

Cherry Tomatoes Anyone?
Here we are , on Sunday, 12.30pm and I just finished having brunch with babe at one of the chinese coffee shop nearby. Nothing is better than a bowl of noodle topped with soya sauce and a big bowl of pork and inert soup for RM3.80 only. Babe had a plate of fried kueh teow with clams and prawn. Not bad too. But the most important thing is, I do not have to cook and clean up afterwards~! HAHAHA!
Anyway, feeling rather dissappointed today because we were looking forward to collecting our wedding photos and album from the bridal but somehow the lady there screw up and got the date mixed up. Instead of writing down collecting the photos today and the gowns & coats on Thursday, she wrote down to collect everything on Thursday! Damn! That was just 1 day before we fly back to Kuching. They better make sure that everything is ready and nothing is wrong with it or else it will be too late do to anything about it!
And here I was, looking forward to showing the photos to my colleagues and everyone else on facebook! Guess they will have to wait till either we are back in Kuching or back in KL when I can upload all the photos (touched up ones only - 45pieces) to facebook. I am already thinking where to put the big framed photos of us. Cannot really remember which one we chosed for the wall. Anyway, Thursday, will be rushing to the bridal right after work so that I can be there by 7pm to do the last fitting for my gown. The seamstress work till 8pm only although the bridal closed at 9pm.
Hopefully, my boss will allow me to work from home on Friday. Then, I can take my time and make sure I have everything packed before going off to the airport in the evening. Later today, going to go and look for toys for the kids. Still thinking what to get for them. The boys are 9 and 11 I think. Babe thinking of getting them a t-shirt each and one of those light weight helicopter that can actually fly. Wonder the helicopter is for the kids or him hor? :P
Anyway, since moving in here, I have a small little project which I almost give up on until yesterday! My cherry tomato finally flowering! So, this mean that, it will be bearing fruits soon!I know, I shouldnt count my chicks before they hatch but I am so happy that I did not chopped off the plant and discard it! I was actually planning to do that before I go back to Kuching. But last night, when I was doing my nightly survey of the plants, lo and behold, it is flowering! I feel like dancing just about now. Silly right? It is just a plant but I never have much of a green thumb and even cactus can die on me. So, yap, I am super happy!

What to do....what to do...
This are some of the things that I will be bringing back with me to Kuching next Friday on top of the wedding gown, two dinner gown, 1 tea ceremony dress, 1 xmas nite dress, a jean and shorts from US for my dad, wedding photo albums and photos with frame and of course a few other small trinklets for my friends in Kuching. Mom is also asking me to see if I can find anything for her and my sis. I also dunno ler.
Hopefully wont be overweight lar! My friend is telling me that I must not check in the photo albums or gowns in case something happened! I should bring them on board but I am not sure if MAS will let me do that. Sigh!!! Or else I might have to ask some of babe's friend to bring some of the stuff back for us! Luckily, MAS allow 20kg per pax and that is 40kg for babe and me. Or else, I think I will cry myself silly lar. But that still leaves me with the problem of handcarry ler.
I asked babe if we should bring the laptops back since we are so short of space. It is not as if we will use them (much) when we go back right? But to my horror, I found that he is actually thinking of bringing BOTH his and my laptops back! Jiak lak! If he is bringing his back, I will definitely leave my behind.
Then there is the question of staying at whose house when we go back to Kuching. Shall we both stay at my parents place or his OR we both stay at our own place till the wedding day? This is actually a no brainer to me but everytime I mentioned this, babe sounds hurt that I will even consider staying in different place as him. But the way I see it, we will be married and staying in KL TOGETHER for a long long long time. So, for this trip back, I would like to spend more time with my parents and sister and brother. Sigh!! I guess I will need to talk to babe again...
Anyway, I am so excited about going back next week that I can almost literally taste Kuching air in my mouth. Yar, I am excited about going home but still not (yet) excited about the wedding. Sot (crazy) lar I know but I guess we will get excited once we are pulled into the tidal waves by our family. In the meantime, everytime my bridesmaid, Didi, asked me for details on the wedding, all I can say is "I will tell you more when I get back". BLUEK!!!
Ok lar..I share share some of the photos of the things I need to bring back with me:
Rings Pillow
A gift from my longtime friend. Ain't that sweet of her^_^
Seems that everyone is more excited than babe & I at the moment on our upcoming wedding:P
Babe's sister asked me to get ribbons to decorate the church. Found this at Ikea. The only roll left. I need another roll. Must try to go Ikea again this weekend and see if they have re-stocked

COLD COLD COLD FEET
29 Dec 2008, just another 19 days to go. I am looking forward to it but at the same time, I am nervous! Am I crazy? I been waiting for this day and yet, it felt as if the time just flew and the date just loom closer and closer. The date that I no longer can definite my marital status as single. It will be the day that I will call someone my husband. And I am definitely having COLD FEET!
I mean I love him very much and definitely want to spend the rest of my life with him. And as I mentioned last time, I am not sure if the next 30-40years will even be enough. But at the same time, I am wondering, what will life be after the date. Will things change or will it remain the same as today? What will happen when we have kids? How will life be? I know, I know. I should just let it be and whatever happens, will happen. No point worrying about it now.
When I think about how close the date is, I just cant help getting butterflies in the pit of my stomach and felt like gagging! If something 19days away makes me feel this way, I really dont dare to think of the actual day. I just hope I wont faint ler. This makes me almost wish that we maintain the status quo now, i.e. living together in sin...almost but of cos wont lar! I think my parents and his mom will get very upset with us if we do that! HAHAHA!

Dilemma?
Ok, so here is the thing, I initial thought I ask babe to do e-invitation to send to my colleagues and our friends since we are both in KL and that would be much easier. Why the hassle of asking our parents to send the wedding card here again? And we will just give the actual card to our bosses. I know almost all of my colleagues will not be able to make it since it will be in Kuching. But I am happy, I want to announce to the whole world that I am getting married! And I think it is courtesy to invite eventhough they might not be able to make it.
The thing is, I got this feedback from a colleague of mine that says, she also thought it is courtesy but some people assumed that it is because we want ang pau or presents from them! OMG! So, I am at lost about what to do. Shall I send them e-invitation card to them anyway or no need to send at all lar? Sum (kekekeke!I like this nickname) say if this is the case, no need lar because knowing our colleagues, some of them will think this way lor.
Oh well, nevermind. Just a few close friends and colleagues knowing my status changed from single but not available to married AND not available.
Note: PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME MADAM AS I WILL NOT RESPONSE! BLUEK!!!!

Tea Ceremony @ Restaurant???
YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 21days to go!! Then I can go home liaw!! YAHOOOOO!!!! HAHAHA But of course, that also mean that I am going to be a married woman in 31 days! *BLUSH* I am so looking forward to going back hometown. Miss my family alot lar! Also miss my friends and the food! So damn happy today.
As for the wedding day, er, I am not sure what my feelings are lar because like I said, most of the things were arranged by our parents in Kuching. Err...maybe I should not say most things but instead, should say EVERYTHING except the wedding photos and clothes for THE day is decided by them. Our parents had also set up all the invitation list and frankly speaking, we have no idea at all who was invited. So, hopefully, when we are back in Dec, we don't get too surprised.
I don't even know what is the plan for the tea ceremony. My dad is arranging everything. At first I hear they want to do at home on 29 Dec too, right after the church ceremony. Then, I hear mom say maybe better to do on 28 Dec, then more relatives can come but I think they will keep to 29 Dec. Then, yesterday, I hear my mom said, they are thinking of using another venue, The Magenta because my bro's friend is a chef there and most likely can use the place.
Want to pengsan I hear because first time I hear people tea ceremony not at the house but in a restaurant! LOL! It will definitely be a very memorable event ler. ALAMAK! This reminds me, I havent find the freelance photographer yet! Anyone from Kuching know anyone? I cannot afford to hire those professionals lar. So pricey!!! Bankrupt later. Just someone to take photos in the morning at church, the tea ceremony and then dinner.
OK lar, enough for now. I better get back to work! By the way, YAHOO!! My leave on Monday approved liaw..kekekekekeekekekek

Ring..My PRECIOUSSSssssss...
(NOTE TO TOPIC: For Lord of the Ring fans, you will know what I am talking about)
*long long long long contented sigh* Dunno why but feeling rather satisfied with my life today. Not that I am totally happy with it but at least I feel contented. I guess I am still trying to digest the fact that babe and I am actually doing it and for better or worse, we will be considered as one single unit soon. So, in the truest form, what is mine is his and what is his is mine. (Sorry, in abit of a romantic mood now. Dun vomit okie :P)
Actually, the excitement is slowly building up lar. I mean, I have start counting down to the day that we fly back to Kuching. And of course, this trigger me counting down THE DAY. As of today, it is actually 24days to time to go back and 34days to the day lor. Looking forward to going back to glorified and enjoy the family showering us with their love. I miss my parents very much actually. Hopefully, I can spend alot of time with them before I go back to KL.
To tell you the truth, I also don't really know how to describe how I feel. I know, I am suppose to be excited, well more excited than now, about getting married in about a month time but somehow, I don't feel it yet. His mom and my parents are arranging everything in Kuching - church, tea ceremony, invitation cards, dinner, program, MC, band, etc. It feels more than we are attending someone elses wedding? :P
I know, I know, I will be more into it and more excited when I am back in Kuching and have to run around to settle last minute things. I know one of the first thing that we need to do when we go back is look for our wedding ring. Yup, we have not purchase them yet. We were hunting everywhere in KL actually for one that we like. At last, we thought we found a design that we like, a 3 in 1 intertwine ring. I think the original design was by Cartier.
We also actually found a goldsmith that sells it a price that babe and I can afford but the problem it, it is the last pair and the one that is intended for me, don't fit so right. So, the rings does not roll properly down the fingers. The goldsmith actually told us he can do something to ensure the ring will roll properly but we told him we will think about it. Actually, again babe don't really like the color of the gold here. It is actually a combination of 1 yellow gold, 1 rose gold and 1 white gold.
He decided to ask our relatives in Kuching to check if anyone there can custom made the rings for us. But after asking, the price is more than RM3,500 for the higher grade of gold. If we want the cheaper ones, about RM2,500, they can do it too. Just use a different grade of gold. His mom is not very keen on that as she said that the color will fade overtime especially since we will be wearing it all the time (ermm..should be all the time right? :P) Plus, after thinking, we decided that we just go for a normal simple wedding band and will check them out at the goldsmith when we go back to Kuching.
I was abit dissappointed because I really like the design of the 3 intertwine rings. I think babe knew how much I like them because he actually said that we should get one for me if I really want and get another pair as our wedding band. So sweet hor him! But I decided no lar, no reason to waste perfectly good money for jelwery right? There is other things that the money can be put into good use for.
OK lar. Enough for now. I better not bore you people with too much details (for now:P). Hopefully I will remember to load the photos I took while I was in Penang and show you some really nice scenaries. Hard to believe that those places exist in Penang right? :P

Being Professionals: What does that mean?
What a day to come to work... I don't know about the rest of you but this morning, when I woke up, the first thing that I thought of is, gosh..it's Monday. And the only that got me out of bed today is the fact that this weekend will be a long one since next Monday is Deepavali holiday. So, that mean that I will have Saturday, Sunday and Monday off. For friends in Sarawak and Sabah, do not despair because when you are having you Gawai holiday, we here still have to work ~T_T~
Anyway, what have I been doing the last few days? Let me see. Oh, yah! We went to the bridal house to choose our photos for the album, frame, etc on Saturday. Our appointment was suppose to be 12 noon but babe being babe, we woke up at 11am-ish and only left the house at around 12noon. Then we went for breakfast/lunch/brunch at Taman Megah. Babe have his usual fried tomato kueh teow and me, I ate the crispy pork kueh teow. We also managed to tapau two packets of kolo kueh teow for later.
We arrived at the bridal house around 1pm and immediately, the lady usher us to a flat screen computer and to my surprise because there were well over 100 pieces of photos for us to choose. Based on my initial calculation, I thought we have about 80+ only. Anyway, we were abit irritated because the lady seem to be in a hurry and keep pushing us to be fast. But as this is not something that you nickels for, we took our sweet time in deciding which pic to choose from.
After looking at the pictures for more than 2 hours and FINALLY agreed on the which 45pieces of photos to choose from, we came to the following conclusions:
1. The photographer always have a theme in mind. So, if you have anything specific, discuss it with your photographer. A good photographer will always ASK what you prefer. Our photographer didn't do that! While doing make up, the photographer of the other couple would actually come into the make up room and chat with us, i.e. getting acquianted. We only see our photographer when everything is done!
2. It was pretty easy for us to choose just 45 photos out of the 100+. Reason? The photos were not that great and hence, making it easy for us to eliminate the other 2/3 of the photos. Although there are a few that we like very much but I was not expecting to be able to decide on 45 photos just like that. I mean, shouldn't I at least have some dissappointment that I can only have 45? Granted there are a few that I would like to have in the album on top of the 45 but it is not as if I really must have them! Babe agreed with me. Conclusion, lousy photographer...
3. Good customer service and professionalism by everyone else can easily be destroyed by just a single person.
As I mentioned, the photographer is pretty cranky and impatient. Giving instructions as if we are dummies but how in the world would we know what does the phrase "I am your mirror" meant! Or please turn to your left, right, bla bla bla and when you did turn to left, he will be making comments such as "Haiyooo..why put your hand that way, etc". At the time, we just bear with it and attribute his behaviour to being essentric as some artist can be. But now, I think he was just not putting his heart into taking our photo!
I know myself very well and that I am not as pretty (or have the slim figure!) like most brides but I thought that is the challenge? If I am able to take good satisfactory photos of myself with my handphone (for babe last time lar when he was in KL and me in Kch), shouldn't an expert with a superbly expensive camera be able to take even better photos? I guess through all this, my greatest regret was not being more assertive and tell them exactly what I wanted. But the bottomline is, someone that has choosen photography as a profession, should at least be more professional right?
I know I shouldn't let a single person upset me and spoil what I think of the bridal shop. Because to be frank, everyone and everything else was perfect. The make up artist was wonderfully friendly and gave me alot of advice on how to take care of my skin to ensure that it will glow on he actual day. The lady that helped me dressed never once give up when the clothes does not fit right. Instead, try to think of ways to make it look great. The seamstress, bless her, was able to repair the tear caused by previous wearer and make it totally invisible!
But with so many competition in the bridal market, I am expecting the bridal shop to be very careful in choosing one of the most important person in their whole package, i.e. the photographer...the one that will churn out their product and in turn the pull-factor for future customers. So, I can only say this, will I recommend Love Vision Bridal House to my friends? The answer is: If any of my friends are interested, Love Vision will not be the first thing that came to my mind.
Now that I got that out, I am feeling much better. I wonder if K and S would be interested to test their photography skill and take some photos during our wedding day! I mean, photos with pose, i.e. arranged pose and not those candid ones... HAHA! Who knows, we can start up a partnership and do freelance photography? Sigh....Now I can understand why some of my friends are talking about doing another photoshoot during their anniversaries!

Wedding Photo Shoot Day!
Errr, Is this really only Wednesday? It felt much longer than that this week already although the time seems to be flying by. I think I am contradicting myself but some of you will know what I meant. The week is moving so slowly but time seems to be flying so fast daily that there seems to be not enough hours in a day to complete everything. The last few days starting Sunday has been crazy.
Sunday, 12 Oct, as most of you know if my wedding photo shoot day. Babe and I cleverly went to bed at 11pm on Saturday so that we can wake up nice and early the next day but well rested. Woke up at 9am, shower and get all our things, then off we go for our breakfast at Tmn Megah. Babe have his usual fried tomato kueh teow from our friend stall selling Sarawak laksa and stuff there. I opt to have something lighter, 2 slices of toast with kaya and 2 half boiled eggs with super thick coffee and milk.
If given the choice, I would chose not to eat anything but we were specifically instructed to have our breakfast. Guess they don't want either of us to faint from lack of sugar or something! But the thing is, I have this tiny iny little problem that if I have anything before 12noon, I will definitely need to visit the loo! Sigh.....
Anyway, by the time we are done with breakfast, it was only 10.30am and our appointment with the bridal house (BH) is at 11am. Taman Megah to SS2 takes about 10minutes drive only. But since we are not willing to sit at the coffee shop for too long especially with the crowd that day (seems that everyone misses local food after being back from their hometown!), we decided to drive to the BH and wait there lor.
We arrive outside BH around 10.40am and true enough, its not open yet. But there are a few of the staffs waiting outside having their breakfast. The owner of the BH arrived at 11am sharp. The first thing that they ask me to do when I got there was to changed into my white wedding gown that I want to wear for my outdoor photoshoot. I chose the one that I planned to wear for my church on 29 Dec.
But thinking back, I kinda regret choosing that because I should have worn the tea ceremony dress instead for outdoor shoots since outdoor is suppose to be more casual. Babe was wearing his white shirt and jeans. Gosh, I really don't want to imagine how the photos will turn out. Me in the full glory of the wedding gown, with full makeup, hairdo and veil in the garden, sweating! Thank god the makeup artist put something on my face to reduce sweating and oil, or else for sure all the makeup melted.
Oh did I tell you that the one tiny bottle of thing cost RM25 and that is for one time use only? YUP, RM25! I don't know about the rest of you but I cannot imagine one time application on the face that cost RM25. Anyway, I rather not think too much because if I do, then I will be thinking, GOSH! we paid RM3188 not just for the photos but for the experience as well. I mean, with the advanced technology of photoshop, I am pretty sure someone somewhere out there could have just crop your face from a pic somewhere and paste to a photo with someone wearing a wedding gown.....
So, like I said, we are actually also paying for the experience, i.e. for the many first times such as:
1. I got fake eyelashes
2. Got my eyebrows shaved and shaped
3. Babe got his eyebrows shaved and shaped too (GRIN!)
4. Full make up although my face itch after that..ugh!
5. Wearing wedding gowns instead of just seeing them in photos or on someone else! (What else!)
6. Know what the photographer meant when he said 'mirror me
and bla bla bla bla. If I list down everything, I think you guys will fall asleep.
We finally only finished at around 6.30-7pm. Mean 7-8hours of makeup, photoshoot, fake smiles and so on. Oh, and being scolded by the photographer. Although I don't think he is as mean as what I hear the photographer from Jackie Studio in Kuching can be, I would have preferred if he is more understanding and patient! Oh well, I guess if the photo turn out fantastic, I will forgive him. Will be going to BH again this Saturday to select the photos so that they can touch up with photoshop and put them into album or frame or whatever.
Through all this, I learned a few things. Hope this will help others that is planning for their photo shoot.
1. Packed something for lunch. Sandwiches would be the easiest. Some BH have delivery service from cafe around but usually those are super over priced. Anyway, you don't need the added stress of thinking what to eat...
2. If you have something in mind or would like to wear your own clothes for some of the shoots, tell the makeup artist in advance as she will be the one planning your whole journey.
3. Ladies, invest in a stick on bra unless you don't mind letting those helping you dress see your assets^_^
Oh gosh!I think I better stop here. Will continue again when I have time to tell you about the last two days. Better not continue in this posting or else it will be super long! MUCKS!

My Tea Ceremony Dress?
WOOHOO!!! Finally got the dress that I will wear for the tea ceremony at my house after church on 29 Dec 08. Not only it is in white, it is also the design that I want but also super cheap! RM49 only after discount. I did saw something at Forever21, a white dress that is for sale at RM199! The dress is pretty versatile and unique because you can make it into a normal straight dress or into a fluffy dress. The secret? A few string on the inside of the dress allow you to tie the bottom part of the dress to makes it look fluffy and hence more elegant!
But, although this is a once in a lifetime experience, ie. getting married, I am not sure I want to spend RM199 for a dress that most likely I will only wear it once or twice. I am glad I hesitated because I did almost decided to just buy the dress from Forever21. In fact, I would say I am extremely lucky and the angels must be looking out for me^_^
I intend to wear a scarf over the dress to jazz it up abit. Perhaps something in powder pink or baby blue? HHhhmmm or maybe romantic purple? HAHAHA! Have not decided yet. But I will go light with the jelwery though because I think some of the relatives will be presenting jelwery during the tea ceremony. So, the dress:

I am already imagining wearing this with my white strappy for outings! HAIYAAAAA HAVE TO TAHAN AND KEEP FOR TWO MONTHS!!! BLUEK!!! hahaha

ShOeS sHoEs ShOeS sHoEs
MAMAMIA!!! I can't begin to tell you how busy I have been. Work has been crazy. Rushing from one thing after another and basically not much time to do anything else, including blogging. It has gotten so stressful that I have even begin to leave the stupid laptop in the office so that it won't taunt me when I am at home trying to take a rest! Thank God weekend is finally here. Although time seems to fly and seems that there is never enough hours in a day to do everything, time is also not moving fast enough to get to the day that I want it to be.
Get what I mean? No? Then you have never experience what we call the ultimate BUSY-NESS! And I hope that you are thankful for that everyday that you not experience the full sensation of super busy! Even back when I was in Kuching, there were pressure and stressed but I think even that has not reached the ultimate level. I think it has something to do with the fact that there are others that I can refer to for help.
Here, basically, my boss told me in not as many words that he will not defend me if anything goes wrong. He will definitely let me take the rap if anything goes wrong and it is my fault. He will also nag and talk about everything that he thinks is right although it was obvious incorrect! But who give a damn about that now right? I am getting married in less than 2 months!! And having the photoshoot this Sunday!!!
We have actually started hunting for the stuff that we need for the photoshoot since last weekend. It is not much things to get but in our quest to find the perfect everything, it seems to be taking longer. Although babe was able to get all his stuff within 2 outings, I am still short of a dress to wear for the tea ceremony and another shoe to wear with the evening gowns. But all is well, since I did get the super high heels (high for me anyways) in white at a super reasonable price.
My white strappy from Escarli, RM38.85 after 50% discount. Cheap hor? And it is simple enough for my taste. I didn't realised that it is on 50% until I pay for these babies!
From the toes and feet mark on the shoes, you can see that this is an old shoe. I seldom wear this except for special occassions. So, if I still can't find something suitable that babe likes as well, will either just get another strappy or wear this with my maroons and blue evening gowns
This is from Nose and I don't remember how much it cost but I only worn it once because it is rather uncomfortable! Babe say so ugly and look like slipper. Haiyaaa... I like it because of the shiny bling bling. Thinking of bringing this as well tomorrow in case we need it^_^
Actually, I did see a few strappy in gold or silver or black that I like but babe say why not get one that is covered all, i.e. pumps. Those that knows me will know that I HATE pumps but since babe like it, and if we can find something that I like and will wear again after the wedding, why not...
Wish I can take pic of the wedding gowns and evening gowns I chose and put it here. Oh well, just have to wait till AFTER I get my photoshoot touched up pic :P

Will You?
I was telling my friends in Kuching that I am finally getting excited about the wedding in Dec. I mean, I was excited when we first decided we will go ahead and do the full thing, i.e. church & dinner reception. But then, after that, since everything was planned by our parents in Kuching, we basically don't really feel very involved. It is as if we are invited guests, albeit, the guest of honor but just am not so excited yet.
I guess that is why I been putting off my exercise regime and eat without much care (GRIN!). But after the bridal shop hunting and gown testing, I suddenly realised, Oh MY GOSH! I am going to call babe my hubby! And eventhough after more than eight years of dating and living in sin (as Nick said) for about four months now, the novelty of calling him as my hubby/husband, well, it just feel super romantic and sweet! Am I crazy or what?
I wonder he feels the same about this too. I mean, when he want to talk about me to others, eg his colleagues, friends, relatives, he will have to say 'my wife'. *grin!* But that babe is really such a tease because when I asked him, he said "I will tell them you are my sister!"..GRRRR! HAHA! Ok, ok, I am being silly and bore you guys enough will all this day dreaming.
*Yawn* Such a beautiful weather to sleep this morning. The sky is cloudy and I bet it will be fantastic to laze in bed under the blanket with absolutely nothing to do. But nowadays, even weekends, my brain refuses to shut down and leave work alone. So stressed up that I am even starting to dream about it. But I learnt something new to release the stress!
Yesterday evening, I left my laptop in the office drawers. Purposely don't want to bring it back because babe and I was planning to go 1U to take our passport size photo for our wedding registration form submission. Let me tell you, the feeling of going home without that heavy burden at my back was really good! I mean, most of the time except weekends, I will not on the laptop eventhough I brought it home with me.
But I guess just having it with me in the evening makes me feel all stressed up because I keep wondering if I should take out the laptop to do a little bit more work for the day. So, instead of that, unless there is absolutely something that I must complete, I will not bring the laptop back during weekdays. Just going to leave it here and go back. And if boss make noise, then too bad lor! HHMPFF!!

BEAUTIFUL OR EMBARASSING SUNDAY?
PHEW! What a weekend! Met up with Rose at Kelana Jaya station and we proceed to our friend stall at Taman Megah for Laksa Sarawak and tomato kueh teow and crispy noodles. Sat there for about an hour while waiting for another friend, T to meet up with us there before we go off to ss2 area for bridal shop hunting! We started hunting at 2pm and only finished at about 5.30pm. Three and half hours and guess how many bridal shops we managed to go to? THREE! Yup, only three!! How can that be???
Negotiation and testing of the gown and so forth, on average, each shop takes about one hour. And let me tell you, it is super exhausting but was finally, able to find one that is reasonable and more gown choices. Not an easy task especially for someone like me :( . Haiyaaa, Didi, regret didn't continue with aerobic now ....
Anyways, all the three bridal shop prices are pretty similar for the package that we are looking for. I guess you say that the price are reasonable. The difference is the extras/freebies thrown in as well the the gown selection. Basically, almost decided already and will be taking this package at Love Vision Bridal Shop. Reason for selecting the place? The price is ok lar and package is pretty standard but the gown selection and profesionalism impressed me though.
The package is something like this:
On photo shoot day:
Bride:
2 wedding gown
2 evening gown
2 costume
photo album x 2, 1 slightly bigger than A4 (25 post) and another is A4 (20 post) all 45 is different post.
3 table top with frame
1 5R + leather frame for table top
60 pcs 3R (5 post) size for postcard
1 big wall pic (I think it is 20 x 30)
1 outdoor photoshoot at PJ or KL area and the rest will be either in the studio garden or in the studio itself.
Also inclusive of Hairdo, hair spray, makeup, hair color, accessories, flower bouquet
DVD with the touch up photos (45post)
DVD with slide show, 30 post and 1 song
Groom:
unlimited coat to match the gown
(Photoshoot exclude: eye lashes-RM30 and ampulse-RM30/bottle)
Actual wedding day (This is for me to bring back Kuching for the ceremony):
1 wedding gown
2 evening gown
2 coat (1 for groom and 1 for bestman)
Total damage: RM3188
There is a package for RM2388 and the only different is the photo album. The album will be 1 x A4 size with 25post and a smaller album (I think 4 or 5R) with the same post as the big album. If want both to be different post, then need to add RM800 and they will upgrade the album to 1xA4 size (20 post) and the other one is slightly bigger than A4 (25post). But based on recommendation from Rose and T, they say might as well choose 2 album with DIFFERENT post because it will be so difficult to just choose 25post. Everything seems nice! hahaha...
I know, over my initial budget by about RM1,000 and I was thinking actually of just the RM2388 but babe said just go for the RM3188. I was thinking since the only different is the photo album and the number of post can select mar. But seems that babe don't think so and better just spend the extra lor..... I think he is secretly excited but pretend not to be! HAHA! After our teabreak/early dinner, he even ask what next. More bridal shops hunting? *PENGSAN*
Well at least that is one thing settled. Everyone that we talked to at the bridal shops are surprised that my wedding date is so near and I am just starting to hunt for bridal gown and taking photo. Apparently, it will take at least 1-2 months to get everything done. So, assuming that the photo shoot is early Oct08, I will only be able to view them in 2-3weeks time. Then choose and they will then make it into the album and photo frame. Then collect it early Dec08. Super rush lor but nevermind lar. Not too late *GRIN*
Photoshoot itself will take a day. Hopefully, there will still be empty slots on Saturdays or Sundays. If not, I will need to take 1 day unpaid leave for this. Which reminds me, I have not submit my leave request for my two weeks leave end of year yet. Although, I did inform my immediate boss and the purpose. I guess I am procrastinating because I know that the moment I submit my leave form, basically, the whole company will know! Not keen to let everyone in the company know yet lar, SHY MAR!!!! BLUEK!
I still need to look for my bridesmaid's gown. Most likely need to ask Didi to look in Kuching since the gown at the bridal shop are made for bride and not suitable for bridesmaid. Must remember to ask T to recommend some place. Or, if I find something here that I think looks good, I might just buy them here. I keep having this vision in my head for Didi though. A thigh length babydoll dress made of soft satin in either off-white, ivory or soft/pastel pink! I think something like that will cost around RM100-200? Hei, Didi, what do you think?
Also need to look for something to wear for the tea ceremony at my house. I wonder what I should wear? Something simple right? But definite NOT CHEONGSAM! NO WAY! Hhhmm..another dress? JIAK LAK, more $$$$$. Not forgetting back in Kuching, other than the wedding dinner reception bill, got the car deco bill, the makeup and hairdo bill, the church deco bill, liquor & beer for wedding dinner and the list goes on!
And also hunt for shoes. (Us gals and shoes, one of the most important thing in our life ok!) This will really depend to the wedding gown and evening gown. If the wedding gown is ivory, cannot get white mar! If it is white, cannot get ivory or off-white! And if dinner gown is maroon, cannot get blue shoes right???? Or if it gold color, cannot wear silver color shoes mar! Hopefully, won't face the headache I hear my friends faced in their quest to hunt for the perfect shoe. I hear there are some rules that cannot wear strap-y shoes and must wear cover all. I hate those kind of shoes!~
Thank god the gown I saw so far does not need me to get my own corset since the pattern is corset style. And no accessories needed since all will be provided and matching stuff, etc. Babe, I am looking forward to see you in all white! My prince charming in white and me in the wedding gown with super long train! WAHH...already dreaming....(sure nice sleep and dream tonight. Not even my sadistic bigman can spoil it!)
In all this, babe surprised me with one thing. I thought he won't have any opinion and be very bored following us, 3 gals hunting for gown. But he actually said for church wedding gown, must have those with long train! Abit only not enough. Long train than look nice walking down the aisle at church!!! WAHH!! That mean that he actually ever envision how the wedding will be! I always thought it is only the girls that dream all this thing. Never know my babe is SOOO ROMANTIC! MELT OR NOT? :P
Oh yah, another thing to remember for those that goes for bridal shop hunting with the intention to try the gowns, make sure that you wear your nicer bra and panties! And, err...be prepared to expose yourself (top lar) to the lady there who will be helping you with the gown! I know, I know, they must have seen more than their share but they have never seen mine mar! EMBARASSING OK!! But I can foresee more 'man-handling' during fitting session and photoshoot. *SHAKE HEAD & SIGH* The things that we gals endure for the most important day of our live!

MOM??
I am starting to hyperventilate again just thinking about 29 Dec 2008! I called my bro yesterday to ask him how the discussion between both sets of parents on last Friday was and what the conclusion was. He basically told me that we will need two cars; one is the normal car with ribbons on the door that send the groom to church from the groom’s house. Another would be the main car with the full decoration and ribbons on the car which will be picking up the bride (me lar) from our house to church. After church, we change and then proceed in the main car with the entourage to my house for tea ceremony and lunch. Eh friends, don’t disappear after church. Everyone is supposed to follow us to my house for tea ceremony and lunch after that.
After the tea ceremony, basically it would be free and easy until time to get ready for dinner reception that night. But I think I won’t have much time to rest. Most likely will be going to the hair saloon to wash out the gook in the hair and get it set for tonight.
There are also a few things that babe’s mom need to do or something like that lar. I also don’t know what. Have not asked in detail yet but I read on the Chinese Wedding Guide (www.chinese-wedding-guide.com) that it is the tea ceremony gift set. Not so sure what this is lar but will ask more I guess. I also found out that the tea set is purchased by the bride’s parents as part of the dowry.
Other than the general details, nothing is arranged yet! Babe just only thought of who to ask to be his best man. And as for me, I only just asked DD to be my bridesmaid but what these 2 suppose to do, I don’t know wor. I know we need to rent a tux for the best man and a gown for my bridesmaid. Best man would be easy because he is here in KL and we just need to rent him a jacket. As for the bridesmaid, she is in Kuching! How to get here to try the gown and make sure it is the right size? Do I rent it for her here or perhaps should ask her to rent in Kuching! OMG!
Even the DJ/MC for the night is not fixed. Not sure if we will be having a band or just DJ with karaoke. Wedding card is also not ready, not even selected or planned. I always assumed that the restaurant will be providing x% of free wedding invitation card in the package. Most restaurants after certain quantity of tables, they will definitely give a lot of freebies. But it seems that this restaurant that our parents chose does not have that. Or perhaps the restaurant is just bullying the elderly, i.e. since they didn’t ask, they don’t tell. I heard that the package does not even include the usual free flow of soft drinks and Chinese tea. What kind of package is that?
We have not even started looking at the bridal shops here for gown/tux rental and wedding photos! I know I know, it is already September and the photo need to be taken at least one month before the actual event itself. On top of that, also need to go hunt for the accessories such as shoes, brassiere, corset, jewelry, etc. Speaking of jewelry, we have not even got about to look for our wedding rings! How last minute everything is! LOL~! I heard the worse is looking for the right shoes. Hhmm, 3-4 gowns mean 3-4 pairs of shoes??? I already have some idea how I want the wedding gown to look like but hopefully it suits me.
Oh yah, also not yet book our airticket back to Kuching!!!! I was waiting and hoping that AirAsia will have their special end-of-year promotion but I guess if they don’t have them by this month, I better book our ticket or else sure expensive! I checked online today and found they have promotion from now till the 14 Sept for travel in Nov till 14 Dec (I think). If after this promotion, there is none for year end, then for sure no more promotion. At least AirAsia is still cheaper than MAS. I can get return ticket from KL –Kch for around RM400 per pax. So, both of us would be RM800. If MAS, it would be RM700+ per pax, ALMOST DOUBLE!!!
What else? Hhmm….suddenly thought of the fact that after 29 Dec, I will be calling babe’s mom as mom too instead of auntie. And babe will be calling my parents pa and ma…… WAHH!! I hope I can say the word out. You know lar, already so long say auntie, suddenly need to call mom……weird mar!!!!!

Finally, a life!
YES! I finally got it! It was hard to believe that I am actually that lucky! I was online the day before yesterday hunting adpost as usual for any interesting bargains. Was especially keeping an eye out for sofa, or more specifically Ikea sofa which has the 10 years warranty. Previously, I did find one but by the time I managed to convince babe to go to Ikea and see the brand new thing AND agree to buy the used sofa, it was too late. The owner sold it already and removed the ad. I have actually lost all hope of finding another one like that. Instead, I talked to myself to settle for something simple but good quality used sofa. Failing that, we will just buy the actual new sofa from Ikea for RM549 *GRIN*.
But two days ago, I saw this ad that stated some furniture for sale, including sofa, sofa and fridge and the address happens to be at the apartment near ours! So, of course immediately I send a sms and hope that I am not too late because the ad was posted four days ago! Then yesterday, the owner called me and we had the usual chit chat of a stranger, awkward! Anyway, at the end of it, I found out that the sofa is actually the Ikea sofa that I been eyeing on and the tv is a 29inch one! Wah imagine my excitement. So, we made arrangement for me to her apartment that night to view the ‘goods’.
Babe of course have a thousand and one questions that I can’t answer such as: why she selling? Is she single? What race is she? How much she want to sell? She have anything else not?She have children? and so on! How I know the answer lar? I not interview her mar. Plus the moment I know what sofa it is, nothing else matters! I just want to go and see and negotiate a price! And also, I am not looking to BUY her, I want to buy her furniture mar! Why do I want to know if she is single. CHEH! Hhmpff!
So off we went last night and I am glad that it was really easy to come to an agreed price! And she even throws in a freebie for us, modern rocking chair that is almost new. Apparently, she is changing her furniture for bigger ones since the family is growing. She actually already ordered the new sofa but have not request the shop to deliver them since no space in the apartment. Hence, she wants to sell off the old ones urgently. She also happens to be a very kind and nice lady with kids by the way. She even offered to find some guys to help carry the sofa with us back to our place this weekend! So, I will be able to post a picture of the new sofa & rocking chair soon! At least, with that, the apartment will look abit more homey!
The next thing on the list is the tv and tv rack. I am also thinking of a long coffee table but that can wait. Also need a water heater in the bathroom but since we can boil water to take bath, for now, that is onhold first too. Still waiting for the confirmation letter from the company and also the increment. Then will go ahead and subscribe to Astro. Babe is dying to watch normal football! Hahaha! We also feel like living under the coconut shell because no updates on world events since no tv to watch news and only get newspaper on weekends.
But need to budget properly first especially since we have big plans for end of the year. Well, actually not our big plans. More like our parents. Got a distinct feeling of being manipulated into it! Remember I was saying that babe and I planned to register first and then push our actual church and dinner reception to next year. Well, babe’s mom called one day and told him the church is booked on 29 Dec, 10am! OMG! That is less than four months away? And nothing is planned or agreed on yet! And the next call was actually to tell babe that there will be 18tables from their side. Need to ask my parents how many from their side. *BREATH HARD!!*
WOW! Steamrolled! Hahaha! But I guess she knows us better than we know ourselves. If it were up to us, we would have just gone back and sign at the registrar office so that we are official husband & wife in the eye of the law. Church and dinner reception will most likely be pushed out indefinitely or until we decided to have children. Talking of children, right after the mother informed us she booked the church on 29 Dec, the first thing that I said to babe was I do not want to have children immediately! I know that would be the next thing our parents will be asking! Like babe’s sis said, they can ask but they cannot plan it for you when to have babies! LOL~ So, no babies for at least the first year of marriage and that is including not getting pregnant. Maybe (big MAYBE) pregnant during the second year (or maybe third year).
Seems like Dec is a long time away but have absolutely NOT prepared anything on my side. We will leave the church and dinner reception arrangement to the parents. As this is a mix-marriage, I have no idea how they will do it. Do we have tea ceremony? Or just go church and then go back home? Do we have specific time for the groom to come pick the bride? Or as long as we get to the church before 10am is fine? What other requirements? I remember when I was sort of helping out with friends wedding Chinese style, there seems to be so many things to prepare for the day itself. So many things to buy for the bride & groom bedroom too. And the car and the things the bride need to bring when the groom come and pick her up and so forth! Oh well, I will leave all this to the parents.
Like I said to my friends, we will go back to attend only! Hahaha! But I am planning to rent the wedding gowns from KL and take wedding photo here. Budget not more than RM2,000 for gown rental and photo, enough or not? My colleague say not enough. At least need RM3,000. But I don’t plan for elaborate wedding photo bah. Just something simple so that I can show my kids in the future that this is your mommie and daddie. Maybe one big one for the wall and then a few small ones. As for gown, one for church, and maybe two for dinner. Should be more than enough right? Also don’t want those big bulky fluffy gown with skirts that you can hide 2-3 people in with room to spare. Am I being to simplistic?
Then, there is the issue of corset, undies, jewelry, shoes and any other items that might be needed. For now, I am trying real hard to keep my head above water and BREATH! Not get me wrong, I am happy and excited but also nervous and worried. After all, it is a once in a lifetime thing. If you have been a frequent reader here, you will know that I am not good at waiting (often looking for the phantoms magic remote control!). I will the day will come and go but while waiting, I just can’t help getting hyped and worked up thinking about the preparation! Oh yah, did I mention how much all this will cost!! *GASP!*
BREATH!!!! DEEP BREATHH!!!! See how crazy I am getting?????
CHEH! Hhmpff!

Before saying "I DO"
There are two big important questions that every girl need to as themselves at least once in their lifetime. If the questions are not asked to oneself, the oneself will be jumping into the deep sea of unknown. For the lucky ones, there might be no regrets at all because the life is as imagined or seen through rose tinted glasses. For the rest of us (yes, me included), might not be so lucky and get the most shocking experience for the first time in their life!
What in the world am I babbling about you asking? Well, I am talking about life after marriage! As most of you know, my recent relocation to KL was because babe and I will finally tie knots after dating for more than eight years. I know most friends (and some relatives) are breathing sigh of relief that we are finally doing it. I am looking forward to it as well because life as husband and wife will definitely be different than just being a couple. For one thing, we will be legally bound to each other in the eye of law. So, the next time someone asks who is this man/woman next of kin, then, our parents/ siblings will not be the first to stand up and say they are.
Instead, it will be the person that we choose to live the days of our lives with. This might sound very romantic but the fact is, things will be totally different and might not be as rosy as we saw in films, i.e. happily ever after on a daily basis. So, things will be different and there will be things that we only discover when we start to live together but no matter what there is obviously a reason for the church ceremony to add in the part about ‘for better or for worse’!
So, what are the questions that you (or I) should ask before saying “I DO”. Oh yah, the main reason I thought of this was because RK and I was talking about things to consider before deciding how many kids to have! I thought I better not jump the gun (and frighten babe and myself in the process when he read this posting! WINK! ) and take a few steps back to marriage instead. I think at this point of time, it would be too late for me to chicken out of the matrimony but I can at least prepare myself mentally and psychologically right?
So, I guess the first thing to consider is sharing the bed with someone for the rest of my life (Don’t get dirty ideas or thoughts ok, especially SK!!) I am talking about the space available on the bed lar! I don’t know about you but sleeping on a nice big bed all alone is really one of life most enjoyable thing! When I was in Kch, my bed is a single bed but I used to love to drag the queen size mattress to the living room and fall asleep on it while watching tv. I also love having lots and lots of pillows, bolters, stuffed animals and at least one blanket on the bed with me, even on the single bed! Obviously, when sharing a bed, even a queen or king size one, cannot have all those lor.
Secondly, household chores! As I start to live independent life here far away from my parents, I only just realized how much household chores there are daily! There is the floor to sweep & clean every other day. Laundry to put into the washing machine, hang up to dry and then folded. There is cleaning after each meals, buying groceries and so on! Sometimes, there seem to be hardly any time to sit down and rest especially on a work day. This of course means that you will be too tired to go anyway, and hence the freedom & social life also affected!
What else arh? Oh Money! Of course when just married will have a lot of spending especially if moving house and so on. But actually, I think I managed my finances better because I plan for the future. Cannot go back to mom and dad (as often!). So, must make sure plan all the things properly and put certain amount aside for savings lor. In fact, babe and I just agreed to save at least RM100 each per month. Might not seem like a lot but if one year, will have RM2,400! So, this is a good thing that I can think of lar.
And of course, have someone to share everything with (not only bed lar). I mean share our worries, joy, happiness or simply chit chat and be ourselves. I ever asked babe before who am I to him. He said best friend. At first I felt insulted because I want him to say love of his life (HAHA!) and then he explain, best friend because I am someone that he can share all his thoughts and worry comfortably with! Best friend because he knows that he say do whatever and I will not judge him. Best friend because he knows that I will support him no matter what he decide. Touched or not? No wonder I will say “I DO” to this man.

Jumble Mumble Nonsense
The sun is not shining as brightly again today. It seems that is has been raining almost every morning in Kuching while I am on the way to work. Even when I was super early like the other day, the sky was cloudy and threatening to spill buckets of water on us. Indeed, it is impossible to go around without an umbrella or two in the car when you are in Kuching. While it is raining monkeys and bananas here, it seems that where my babe is, the sky is clear without a hint of rain anyway. We are thankful for this actually since he goes to work on his bike even if the distance is only 15minutes away.
Hard to believe that it is actually Friday and weekend is just around the corner. Seems like just a few days ago, I was complaining about getting Monday blues on a Tuesday. Where has the time gone to? I guess with so many things happening in life right now, I somehow let time slipped by me without much notice. And then pretty soon, it will be time to say farewell to the old and hello to the new chapter of my life. As I was telling my friends and babe, I have mixed feeling about this.
Happy because I do not expect to be offered a job with pay that is almost towards the range that I am looking for and of course because I will be with my babe. Sad because I will be leaving my parents and friends behind. Worried because of my parents and also the challenges that I know we will face when we are there. Anxious because I know time will fly and the the world war III that I know we will face at home because of my mom. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to this as I have already made up my mine that I will do this.
Had a heart-to-heart chat with dad this morning. Turn out that he is not very pleased with the fact that babe didn't came in person to propose or approach him before or after the big entourage came to my house the other day. Sigh~! I tried to explain to dad that it is very hard for babe to take leave since he is still very new at his job. But dad said, "Surely he can come back just for a day to see me. He can take off during the election and fly back and fly off again the next day". So, babe will be coming back for one of the weekend when he is not working on Saturday.
To be frank, the both of us thought that because he is not here, his mom and big team of relatives came on his behalf would have been enough. But dad seems to think otherwise. I guess that just goes to show that we should never try to assume what other people think because no matter how well you know the person, you are NOT the person. So, babe will be calling dad this evening to explain as well. Hopefully, that will smooth some ruffles with dad. I really want dad and babe to be close enough to discuss anything.
Right, enough about my morning woes. It is much to early to be filled with all my nonsense.
